Access HTML pages in a custom location using Managed HOD

This technote on Managed Host On-Demand explains how to use custom HTML pages that are in a location different from the HOD publish directory.
 
How to create pages in custom location using Deployment Wizard
 
1.      Create a new folder in a custom location different from the HOD publish directory.
2.      Create a custom HTML page using the Deployment Wizard.
3.      In the Deployment Wizard, under Advanced Options, add HOD publish directory alias in the Code base field.

4.   On the File Name and Output Format page of the Deployment Wizard, update the Directory field with a custom location.

5.      In the config file of the web server, create an alias for the location where a custom HTML page is created.

How to access the Managed HOD or any clients
 
1.      Launch the Managed HOD and select the Managed HOD on the home page.
2.      On the server settings page, provide the details of server address like http:// {server name} and alias of custom location which is created in the config file of the webserver.

3.      In the Page Type, select the work with Pre-configured HTML page.
4.      Launch the HTML page.
