HACP Extended Edition (HACP EE) v1.4 is now available with additional features of color remap, status bar, and download as image which will enhance the user experience with emulator screen. Below is a quick list of all the new features.
Color Remap Color remap is a powerful feature of IBM Host On-Demand (HOD) that allows users to change default colors of elements on the terminal screen or the Operator Information Area (OIA). Starting v1.4, HACP EE client shows the colors of the elements on the terminal screen and OIA as mapped by HOD administrator in a session definition created for either a 3270 or a 5250 display terminal. For example, if HOD administrator had mapped OIA status indicators’ default color to green, user will see OIA status indicators in green color when they open the session from HACP EE’s dashboard. HACP EE user can also edit the color of different attributes and save their changes, from the “Settings” panel. Status Bar This version also comes with a new status bar for both 3270 and 5250 display sessions. Status Bar shows the connection details and interprets the OIA (Operator Information Area) messages in text. Status Bar is disabled by default and can be enabled from the “Settings” panel. Download as Image: HACP Extended Edition v1.4 comes with the new functionality of downloading terminal screen for both 3270 and 5250 display sessions as image. Users can either download the entire screen or a part of the screen. To download only a part of the current screen, select the appropriate part of the screen and then click on “Download as Image” option in context menu. C V N SUNEEL KUMAR

There are lots of things that are new, and I am scared what it means. I understand that it is not always going to be the same, but these changes are too huge. Your blog was able to highlight all of the new changes, and I thank you for it. Without your blog, I wouldn't have been able to go and learn about the changes. I am hoping that you do it again for the next time that changes happen.
